Kind words

poem by: George Griffiths

Your voice so soft, like a leaf settling on the water that sits in a mud bowl, a lake that is respected.

You say words that mean so much but yet I have nothing to return, every year I receive a gift from you and the others but I still do not return the love physically. I'm not as much of a good friend you hoped for but I try my hardest to make everyone happy, I hope you can understand my emotions; feel them through my words.

Let them enter your mind and bubble inside, make you smile and laugh a while. I know I'm silly but your just too kind - too kind to say 'you've got an active mind'.

I thank you for your kind words, your love to me and the way you accept me into your life, I hope I'm a worthy friend I'll have an open mind.

save your words so kind, find someone who really deserves them - I know I'm not alone in this world but this is sad. the way I have been, the way I have not thanked you for your time and kind words. I truly am sorry.
