Dreams of Love

poem by: George Griffiths

We sit so close, just inches apart; yet it feels like your miles away. Just a touch of the tips of our fingers to the lingering feeling that maybe there is more to this deep emotion that pulls us side to side, swaying like grass in the wind - could this be it? Is this our moment of true heart felt emotion, can we see the future between us?

Not only does love feel so strong when it is deep within your soul, it grabs you by the hand almost like catching that coat pocket on the door and it won't let go.

Are we so far apart after all or is it in our minds, are we crazy in love or just crazy for being in mad love. Is there that spec of glitter on my face that adds extra beauty, can I feel the air you breathe on my neck or are we struggling to find each other in the dark. What is this darkness? Are we truthfully lonely-no the lights are out. Maybe your playing tricks on me, a game of ghosts heart catcher.

Could this be a wild and wonderful dream, maybe when I wake up ill still be writing my exam answers in school.

Is love a game that God wishes us to complete, are there levels of difficulty? Only that can be answered by him himself, is he watching me - is 'he' even a he? is it real? It can't be...
