The Only King

poem by: Denise Collier
Written on Jan 18, 2017

I lift my hands to honor you,
The one I love who made me new.
Let my praise reach to your throne,
My gift of thanks to you alone.

No king on earth would die for me,
But yet you did to set me free.
The sacrifice of your own life,
I won't forget your precious price.

My heart and soul will sing to thee,
My God and King eternally.
On the day I see your face,
The tears I'll shed for saving grace.
