Bless Me Lord

"Bless me, Lord,
Bless me, Lord,
Give me favor, please.
Bless me, Lord,
Bless me, Lord,"
The prayer God hears us sing.

When Jesus spent His time on earth,
The days He taught His holy word,
I don't recall Him ever praying this.
Disciples asked Him how to pray,
He said to thank God and to praise,
Forgiving others also on the list.

Spending time with our great God,
This is where our hearts are won,
By goodness of His presence in our lives.
Blessings come in different ways,
Not only money in the bank,
But knowing God the Father is our prize.
