Flaws

poem by: Martyn Grindrod

I dig your imperfections

The parts of you which you despise

Your 'freckles'
Which you loathe
To me are individual beauty spots

You 'dimple' when you smile
like you've been hit by a dart
but to my minds eye it's what sets you apart

Your collar and cuffs
may be a different hew
but my thoughts are
there could never be another you

You see my pearl in the Shell
it's not what you see in your mirror
that matters
it's what's in the eye of the beholder

and to me you are everything

thank you
