The evil man

poem by: Edward Shields
Written on Jan 01, 2017

The evil man is coming for you.
The evil man will tell you what to do.
The evil man arrived for me.
The evil man took my life from me.
The evil man thinks he's smart.
The evil man could'nt take my heart.

Nice poem Edward.
Cecilia Crasto commented:
Love the poem and the message.
Arch Angel commented:
Misused apostrophe; *couldn't*.
Arch Angel commented:
The evil man takes your life but can't take your heart? Makes absolutely no sense, but it does if he actually took away your heart. But he took your intelligence since the time you were born. Haha
Edward shields commented:
Arch angel, I've read all seven of your poems. I noticed my one poem got twelve comments, ten good ones. All your poems put together only got five? I would say I'm a bettor writer than you.
Arch Angel commented:
Cool. Good for you. At least I'm not flamboyant. Go ahead brag more say I'm jealous go go go. :)
Arch Angel commented:
Also it's not about good comments what good comments actually are, are constructive, criticisms and noticing good and bad spots in a piece for further improvements. And you, you just want to feel like a king and want receive comments like "good job". Bitch that's not going to help you.
Edward shields commented:
I'm so sorry for you, you write better comments than poetry.
Edward shields commented:
Arch angel, the last comment was for you.
Arch Angel commented:
Once again, that's an opinion.
Arch Angel commented:
And thank you for making my comment work. You spelt better correctly.
Arch Angel commented:
Also, in this world improvizing exists but sadly flamboyance too.
Arch Angel commented:
I'm so sorry for you because you failed the scale of anger, encouragement, and humbleness.
Q. Ramirez commented:
I have read all your works and found them to be good, this one is my favorite, because I am not too much into Nature. Even though there are good poems from other in this site that are about nature not to say that yours' was not as good because it is good and your message is clear in "Mother Nature's Crying". We need to take more care of our environment. In your poem "Simple bliss" you state the "You and me doing what we have to" is a very true statement. I am also wondering why you would say that "Separate Forces" was not good. Was it too racist? Do you agree with Karenga and Farrakan that all white people (including Hispanics) are evil, rascist and demons? They may not have realized that what they were proclaiming back in the early 70's was making a stereotype of white people. So yes we had to form our own gangs to protect ourselves, doing what we had to do to survive from getting jumped on. I did look over my work and did some re-phrasing so as to not sound too racist on my part. Sorry if it offended you.
Edward shields commented:
Ramirez, thanks for your comment. The poem you commented on, is about humans, fucking this planet! NOTHING to do with racism!!
Maria Williams commented:
A while ago I wrote a piece about the difference between the Spirit and Soul, the Spirit succumbs to the temptations of life, but the Soul will always return to its Maker. I get your point completely. Brilliant.
Nicho Mose commented:
Most of all: don't let anyone take your words/poetry!
Roxanne Dubarry commented:
Dear Edward, How were you to know I am not on street drugs? I am on several prescriptions pills, which I need for various health related reasons. Habitual sins are ones that are repetitive. Thanks for forgiving me. I also forgive you. Of course, the evil man can not steal your heart and mine! Good poem and timely message!
