A smile in the rain

poem by: Dian Holmes
Written on Dec 23, 2016

Every once and a while, there is a smile.
That comes out in the rain.
It is but a flower.
That shines through the shower.
In this hour of our refrain.

Offered so sweetly, and oh so discreetly.
Robot knows that the gesture is true.
Flower came through the danger.
of the storm and a stranger.
To prove to him what she would do.
