Late

poem by: Theresa Taylor
Written on Dec 15, 2016

Your love is late....
Late at night nesting in blankets listening to your voice drift through the darkness, full of laughter that I caused
Late to work because holding your dreaming heart in my arms is my new calling
Late in our years and still patting your butt and calling you babe
Late, but not later.
No. I will love you now and always!
with every precious second of my ticking heart
I will love you fiercly and in every form
I will mark this once in a lifetime love on my calander
Loving you in every moment of every day I have on this earth and every day after that
Because no matter what happens to us, or the space between, I will find my way back

A lovely, touching, convincing poem. The images and concepts are a delight. Love it.
