After The Snow

poem by: Dan Miltz
Written on Dec 14, 2016

Woke up and looked out window white
Snow had fallen during night
It covered everything, far thee eye could see
All night long, storm roared on free
Blanketing white night, with white day
Morning broke, without a sun·ray

On tis' cold winter day
Moist winds of the morning, go-away
Gone with the snow, thus' done
The snow is melting, to touch of sun
O flakes of snow, through, wind blown trees
Hoping soon that you'll be back in a breeze
