without water -draft

poem by: Theresa Taylor
Written on Dec 01, 2016

The mortal frame is 70% water
we are grown in it, and born from it
naked, crying and humble
helpless, without it we die in 4 days
yet as we mature
we learn to dominate it
to sail upon it, to wash with it, bottle it, flavor it, and sell it
we abuse it and we let it be abused
oil spills affect drinking water
all drains lead to the ocean
we affect all water
wildlife dies & we die
let us not forget that we are native earthlings too
not God sitting on a 70% water throne
for without water, we surely will get to meet him

..so true Theresa.....we originated in the Ocean, and evolved...then crawled out of the Ocean..........maybe..just maybe, we might have to crawl back into the Ocean......just like the Whale, and Dolphin did.....but let's hope that we have not over polluted the Oceans...before it's our turn to return ....loved your poem..🐳🐬....
