Robot and the Lady

poem by: Dian Holmes
Written on Nov 29, 2016

The robot and the lady.
Each so different both so crazy.
Their attracted opposition.
They debate a hard decision.
Robot knows he's waited long
For lady to come round.
Robots shell is hard and strong.
In his chest a ticking sound.
His gears begin to turn again.
When lady gives him power.
When he sees her frown it shuts him down.
So he climbs her ivory tower.
He's at the top and could be pushed off.
If lady does so choose.
But robots faith in her is great.
All & nothing left to lose.
