Time To Say Goodbye (Phoebe)

A cold brisk morning I took you for a walk
The happiness and joy as I gave you your ball
Walking through the willows a cold brisk breeze
Was a pleasure to be with you my phebes.

Charging through the fields your head held high
A scurrage through the thorns a yelp you cried
Head first into the water the pool so high
You came out charging the look of happiness in your eyes

Time to go, I put on your lead
Never knowing this this would be the last time we wandered this field
A look between us a glimpse in the eye I loved my phoebe never knowing she was going to die

As you lay there covered in blood, my heart sunk deep
I knew these were our final hours, knowing your time was to be deceased
Comforting you in your final hours is the only solace that I can take
No more walks, no more huff and puffing, no more phebe.

To say bye to you is the hardest thing to do
I'll be with you one day, sweet dreams my beautiful brown pooch.

I think I know what happened here. Even if I'm wrong, as I often am, I get your pain. I've been in the same place.
