True Friendship

poem by:
Written on Nov 15, 2016

You have been in my life, for a number of years,
We've shared some laughs, and we've shared some tears.
There is a level of comfort, which exists between you and I,
It is a special kind of bond, but i'm not sure of the reason why.
Our friendship simply works, and requires no effort on our part,
Because when we get together, we reveal the depths within our heart.
Honesty rules our conversation, from each other we never hold back,
And that is the beauty of our friendship, in which many others do sorely lack.
We have come across some tough times, when tempers do sometimes flare,
But regardless of reason or rhymes, in the end for each other we're always there.
Thank you my very special friend, from the very craters of my darkest soul,
For standing by my side through thick and thin, and for helping to make me whole.
May many blessings be bestowed upon you, and all your desires forever come true,
As they have been bestowed upon me, for reaping the fortune of having known you.

Thanks Geoffrey. As usual, words come naturally when someone is in your life to inspire.
