Energy; both seen and heard
The life that flows within our veins
The very essence of our brains
When the body dies it's all that remains

Energy; both past and present
Enduring all and forever there
Strong as steel and light as air
It's all around us and everywhere

Energy; both wrong and right
It is black and it is white
The divide is out of sight
It gives us something for which to fight

Energy; both yours and mine
It was, is and will always be
The driving force in you and me
What is without energy?
