Momentous decision

poem by: Gemma Morgan
Written on Nov 08, 2016

Today is polling day
Millions to queue around the block
Could your decision ripple a shock
Will the right one be chosen, you think
Or choose the one
Who will cause us to fall and sink
The first female president
Knows the ropes
Would her contender know how to cope
Not a man of the politics world
But one of the boardroom
Could a needed change be about to loom
Whatever the outcome
Please be cautious
Your vote will affect your sons and daughters .
