Tears

poem by: Gemma Morgan
Written on Nov 07, 2016

All that was wanted was a mum and dad
How come you turned out so bad
The fights
The lies
Constant nights filled with cries
One day you were gone
Just the three of us at home
No one came ,we were alone
Finding myself now the mother
There was no choice there was no other
That day we were brave
We made that call
Didn't know if anyone would come at all
Now they see rainbows and bright blue skies
Not feelings they despise
Not fears and tears left in their eyes
And even though you continued to be bad
We realised we had no mum or dad

This is an awesomely written poem which touched my heart. Thank you for being brave and putting yourself out there. I think we have a lot in common.
