Insomnia

poem by: Tonya Fischer
Written on Oct 05, 2013

This morning sleep expelled me
slumber discarded me
thrust into wakefulness so
swiftlly I had to greet the day
at a dead run
now left to worry what the night
might bring
will twilight wrap her cloak
around me
let my subconscious run free
or will I be exiled from my dreams
