Memories

Pictures and photos capture the memories of a life that has been lived.
Has this life been lived?
Years of laughter, pain, growth and discovery it would appear have been stolen from me.
As I attempt to find the pieces of life that's mine, within a non existent photo album
I all so suddenly and painfully realise that;
These moments have been completely stolen and forgotten.
Only the vaguest recollection of a decade come to mind.
And then I clutch at those couple of photos and relapse to a time forgotten.
Forgotten pain that now has surfaced.
Forgotten joy that now is rotten.
I look into this moment knowing, that the life behind me is like an ocean;
Large, vast and deep, and all but gone beneath my feet.
So large and yet forgotten still.

Yes, life goes by in a flash, and in the end we have to say, was it all really worth it...beautiful

Awesome poem.I love looking at photo albums. We sadly can not bring back the past.The future will take care of itself.
