Unshackled

And so I lay in wait.
I waited for that perfect moment when it would all fall apart.
When the painful memories would fade.
Which would in turn result in an awakening and freeing of the soul.
The shackles which once fallen, would make me laugh at their attempted villainry.
And as the rays of light shone through.
All I could think of was the pain which made me feel alive and eager to be rid of all the excess that caused me unnecessry feeling.
