Bright Future

poem by:
Written on Sep 04, 2016

Creator is not who I had thought, as evil is sometime concealed,
Rationale within my mind fought, time and again was appealed.
Conclusion now achieved, as I'm certain with my fair proof,
What I once had believed, was certainly askew and aloof.
With knowledge freedom is earned, with wings on it's side,
When something new is learned, confidence starts to glide.
The world seems to make better sense, and mysteries lessen once more,
Inquiries have now become past tense, as reality has replaced folk lore.
Freedom to all souls who read this note, may you no longer be repressed,
Here's hoping you're not stuck behind the moat, and your spirits will be blessed.

Lovely poem Michael.with knowledge comes hope.
Cecilia Crasto commented:
I certainly felt free after reading your poem, with all the negativity surrounding us, we have to remain positive and hope for the best. Great work.
commented:
Thanks Cecilia. Agreed; sometimes negativity needs to be expressed, but we do need to be cognizant about allowing positivity to infiltrate our thoughts as well.
Geoffrey Brewer commented:
Your poem has a tantalising way of alluding to a message and a narrative but leaving them unspecified. Still that is in the nature of poetry.
commented:
thanks Geoffrey. I understand after reading your feedback I sometimes don't come out and say things directly; I guess part of me wants to leave interpretation to the reader.
