True Colors

poem by: Adrian The Hanabi

When I went to the bathroom
I saw a guy,
I asked him a question
and at first he was really nice.

I tried my hardest to make the growing bond work
and hopefully not ending that with a duel,
but his last words felt like they hurt me
like if he was cruel.

I apologized
but he ignored me,
and once he left
his true colors are what I see.
