Dandelion Wishes

poem by: Annie Kirby
Written on Aug 13, 2016

All I have is the
Moon and stars and
A heart full of broken wishes
Dragged into the tunnel of darkness

Breathing hope for the light
I wish it to be true
But my wishes never come true
It is just an on coming train

All I can do is just laugh
Stupid me, did I really
Expect to be saved

Can I blame destiny
For a forever, now crushed
Under the wheels of memories

A void in me
For the people,  just
Passing by
Taking away, what was mine
These wishes I long for

Stitched forever
Bonded with love
By millions of dandelions
That touch the stars
