imposter detection

Written on Jul 18, 2016

I am poison that will kill,
I am evil that stands still.
Never leaving you alone,
Whether or not you do condone.
My ways, I will impart,
There’s no end after I start.
Beg of me to go away,
And I will forever stay.
By your side, to your chagrin,
You should not have let me in.
It’s too late now, I’ve no remorse,
Time for us to stay this course.
It’s do or die, the latter I believe,
Why were you so easy to deceive?
It is a game, but not even I would say,
And now you regret your life this day.
All will come to an end, more bitter than sweet,
You looked for adventure, but cannot take the heat!
You once had innocence, so lovely and pure,
But now your identity has become so obscure.
There’s no way out, the contract has been signed,
Your fate became sealed, as the stars and planets aligned.
Keep shaking your head, to the sound of my beat,
You’re in too deep now, nowhere to retreat.
Laughter rings out, from the furnace of my mind,
Seems I’ve traded sanity, for something I could never find.
Does it all make sense, if not what is the reason?
My soul has disappeared, if only for a season.
The Karmic wheel does still spin, and one day I’ll be back,
And making better choices, because wisdom I won’t lack.
Let this be a lesson to all, especially for those who read,
This sordid expression of life, or their own they will concede.
