The White

poem by: Alice Inwonderland
Written on May 23, 2016

White, it penetrates here, in this place.
A blank slate, a new page to mark,
With footsteps, one by one they print,
Across the blinding white from dark.

What lies beyond this pale?
Keep walking, look through the glare,
Don't give up, this white will end,
Through here you'll go to get somewhere.

The white, it penetrates here, in this place.
A lonely ache, you'll feel,
The white is stone and silent,
But only it, will help you heal.

Time, it waits for no man.
But here it waits for you,
Listen to the stillness,
Beyond awaits the new.

Don't rush, keep steady, look ahead.
Await a sand of hope,
But rest whilst on this journey,
Believe that you can cope.

White, it penetrates no longer.
I see it, a hint of red,
Your tired feet can rest now,
Only colour bathes instead.
