People like me.

poem by: Alli Steward

Some people are like me.
Yet its barely a possibility
We believe in religion,
Yet its so screwed up to us.
Our skin is our canvas.
We are Drawers.Writers.Carvers.
Cuts are our escape.
Love is a big waste.
But people like us..
We are different.
We need to be loved.
Even if we push it away.
So love the people like me.
The people like us.

Great poem. I especially like the last part where you say that even though "people like us" push love away, we really need it. That is something that other people need to remember. Your poem reminds me of a song called "Thorns" by a metal band called Demon Hunter. I think you might dig it.
