Transparent Snowflakes

poem by: Cheryl Ashmore
Written on Jan 17, 2016

I see your brilliant silvery twirl, I see your sparkly light
Falling from the sky, so serene and so bright
You're on my tongue, you're on my nose
Soon enough you will glow

I see your glitter, your frosty way
I wish for sure you would come to stay
I make snow angels, late at night
Just to be with you, share the limelight

I lick you, you're sweet, you're caught in mid-flight
Don't melt, you reveal the essence of delight
I lay among you, you're called snow
You transparent dazzler, your diamonds aglow
