Walk With Me

poem by: Timothy Nelson
Written on Oct 04, 2015

Come and take this walk with me
down this stoned paved road.
Walk with me to Cavalry
while I carry this heavy load.

I know you think this load is heavy
and too much for me to bare.
But please don't turn and walk away
because we're almost there.

We only have a few steps to go
and this suffering will come to an end.
Then I can lay this heavy burden down
as I die for all your sins.

And all I truly ask of you
as you witness my endless strife,
is to believe that why I'm doing this;
It's to give you eternal life.
