Before this life ends

My precious daughter's
I've missed so much
I've been so hurt
So out of touch
You deserved much better
Than I could give
As I struggle each day
Struggle to live
I pray that life
Hasn't been unkind
And I thanks the Lord
That you are alive
I pray in the future
We can be friends
That we can connect
Before this life ends
Don't ever think
That you haven't been loved
As I depend on God's strength
Coming from above
Life's been harder "I pray"
Than you'll ever know
And I hate that I didn't
Get to see you grow
Hold onto what's good
Focus on you're life
Avoid all the conflict
Avoid all the strife
And when it gets to hard
And you've given you're all
Know that you can always
Give me a call
Maybe someday
When you trust me enough
You'll realize that I love you
I love you so much
