Silent Cry's Heard

poem by: Andy Wilden
Written on May 10, 2015

I cry and no-one hears the bitter tasting tears, echoing bouncing off deafened walls.
Shattered pieces, broken in a explosion of silent sadness. Deeper, deeper I reach within, to muster all strength i can bring to bear.
No-one hears the cry's of the silent for of which they cease to care.
Bridges everywhere extended arms to lost lonely souls. Reaching for a salvation, a promise, a light, a beacon home.
Desperate and lying naked bearing for the world to see. In a world where stereotypes and contradictions reign, a cry in the night goes unheard and forgotten.
I will be your echo, your voice in the cacophony of society, your governing light that reaches with loving warmth.
Not for the reasons that I expect a gift for services given, but because I love you and call you my soulful friend.
