Toils of a house wife has its rewards

The dishes or piled up, the living room is a mess
the closet needs organized so I can find my black dress

the floor needs going over , and the grass needs cut
but these things want get done if I sit on my but.

The bath tub needs cleaning and I need to go to the store
I just want to sit here and pray nobody knocks on the door

I saw a show where a lady twinkles her nose and the entire
house is cleaned
but it isn't real and not for me.

So I am standing and I know I have to move, I turned
on my music to get in the cleaning grove.

The first place, I don't know if I mentioned
but it is the worst place, yep the worst place my kitchen.

so now I am in here, with the music playing loud
although I am washing dishes, I feel I'm on a cloud.

Now the kitchen is clean, I look back at it with pride
I know I have a look, one I just cant hide.

I polish the furniture and clean the glass
oh , my house is coming together, and it's happening so fast.

Now the bathroom, oh how it shines
I didn't feel like doing it, oh but now I just don't mind.

Now I am out side on the lawn more and cutting the grass in nice strait rows
and now as I pass by, I see my little garden has grown.

All to soon, I'm on the deck with the sweet cold , Ice tea in hand
I look back at the work I've done and oh, its more than grand.

I go back in side and now I know what work is for
as I become my own tour guide and take my home grand tour

Oh the house is oh so shinny and clean, and smells so good
I am glad I got off my but and cleaned and did what I know I should
