Mom

poem by: Dalia Watts
Written on Apr 29, 2015

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
My heart is dead,
And so are you,

I used to be happy,
But not anymore,
Life got harder,
I don't know what for,

Days seem to fade,
Years blend together,
You went away,
I wish not forever,

I wish you were here,
Maybe I wouldn't be breaking,
You'd take away all my fears,
Mate you would save me,

I seem to be forgetting,
Forgetting what you looked like,
How you acted,
How much you cared,
It's all blending into one memory,
And then I start forgetting,
Until I don't remember anymore,

All my fears are happening,
Taking place in front of me,
I need you to be here listening,
I want to be free.
