Lord I Cry

poem by: Milton Robertson
Written on Apr 02, 2015

Lord I cry in the day time, I cry at night, I cry about the alcohol and drugs that has dimmed the light. I cry because I was told a horrible lie, that drugs and alcohol would make me fly not make me die. So I walk the streets in a daze, seems like I'm walking through a never ending maze.

Lord I cry because I said I would never do it again, but I did it again, seems like I can't win now I'm crying again about my sin. So I ended up in the hospital, then to Rehab. There I was in for a fight, but there were good people around to help me make things right.

Now I'm beginning to see the light, for you Lord are paving the way for me to take flight. I thank you Jesus for opening the door, now I walk with you and I shall cry no more.
