7 B & B Haikus

I

				black and brown children
				jamming down on beat music
				break dancing away

II

				wheeling down the street
				what she perceives as ghetto
				to him is Eden

III

				brown cuz walking by
black cuz stands outside his crib
				both stop to soul-shake

IV

				chicanos crib here
next door the cribbers are black
				this is black-brown turf

V

				cold winters sets in
				this barrio becomes gelid
				gas bills must be paid

VI

				cannabis smokers
				walking high on loco weed
				minding their business

VII

				poverty stricken
the poor will always be here
				this barrio also

Nicely written. But hopefully you don't think that all brown and black people are swallowed by poverty?
