Morning Mourning

poem by: Cambria L.
Written on Feb 04, 2015

The morning is a misty haze,
Though everything is bright.
The morning is a transformation,
Day from night.

It speaks to me of campfires,
Glowing and warm,
Or the canoes on the river,
Protecting us from harm.

Morning whispers thoughts of others,
Others long ago,
I smile as I think of them,
And watch the wind blow.

That is a nice little poem! I like how you communicate the warm feelings that morning brings. To me, mornings represent new beginnings. Each morning is a new day with many possibilities. Your poem is comforting. Thanks!
