My Dream

lyrics by: Allan P Stevens
Written on Nov 21, 2017

(This is a tribute to John Lennon)
-
-
I dreamed all people are free
That all do love one another
No more wars or refugees
People at peace with each other
-
I dreamed all beliefs became one
Without need to choose a side
No more guns, all fighting done
Speaking truth, no reason to lie
-
I dreamed science had found a way
To end all hurt, erase all suffering
Heal the sick and ease the pain
Of those who’re left with nothing
-
Well, I realize it’s just dreaming
Sometimes a dream can come true
What’s wrong with a little dreaming?
Dear John, this world is missing you.
-
Nothing wrong in a little dreaming
It gives my brain something to do
-

Lovely tribute to a great singer songwriter.I get the impression John Lennon and George Harrison had a spiritual side to them from listening to the words to their songs. Nice poem Allen.
