(Ch) A mother cried, a mother cried as her dear son was
crucified, oh a mother cried a mother cried, that cloudy day.

Verse, It took strong men to hold her, to keep Mary from
her son, she remembered what God had told her, he was the only one, yet a mother cried..

(ch) A mother cried, a mother cried as her dear son was
crucified, Oh a mother cried a mother cried that cloudy day.

they tied her son, the king of host to a awful place
the whipping post, she knew he was innocent he had not failed
whipping his back with the cat of nine tails............and a mother cried.

Ch. A mother cried a mother cried as her dear son was crucified, oh a mother cried a mother cried on that day.

As they hung him on the tree for the whole cruel world to see, dear Mary Cried.

He said woman , behold thy son, my fathers work is almost
done , yet a mother cried.

(ch) A mother cried a mother cried as her dear son was crucified, oh a mother cried a mother cried that cloudy day.

they took him off the cross his life seemed ended all seemed lost and a mother cried.

(ch) A mother cried a mother cried while her dear son was crucified a mother cried a mother cried that cloudy day.

On the third day Mary saw the stone was moved and she was in awe, two young men at the tomb ahead, voice of thunder spoke Why seek yea the living among the dead and a mother cried.............

Ch A mother cried a mother cried, for the promise he would arise, a mother cried oh a mother cried on that day

And as she saw him asend beyond the clouds heard the singing of angels singing and bells ringing loud .............
A mother cried.
